The civil right ened in 1865.This was a politi cal right ,Local goverments forced african american to pay money and pass a difficlut literacy test before they could even vote. white did not have to take a literacy test. Because african americans could not vote they could not change the laws.
This was a social rights , sevice and ficities wthout being discriminated against. racist law did not allow afrivan americans to go to the same school as white students , eat in the same restaurants or sit in the front of public buses.
This was a economic right given jus the freedom to earn a livin and own a property. Local laws stopped african american form gettin jobs . such as police offcers. banks would not give them loans to but homes or start businesses. many freed lsaves had no choice but to work as farmers and maids for their old slave masters.
