  The Children’s Right’s Movement

Children in the late 1800’s were treated poorly and had worked hard in jobs that didn’t give enough money. People like Lewis Hines, Jacob Rills and mother Jones had help this children to solve there problems. There were people who tried to help children be children and not adults. This was called child labor.

Child labor was a good movement for children. They were children over working and weren’t getting enough money. They would not get education and would give up there education for a job that is not successful. Children were Jeopardizing there life because they work hard everyday for something that the parents should do and not kids. The children worked hard everyday to put food on the table.

The reason why parents let there kids do this jobs is because they need to put food on the table. Children would work in the dangerous places like factory’s and would go home missing fingers and other parts of there body. This kids don’t get paid enough to be risking there life’s.

There were also the news paper strikes. There was thousand of news paper boys lined up going on strike because the news paper price was going up to much. People could not afford it. People like mother Jones took 1,600 kids to go on strike. She took them to walk to Washington and see Roosevelt and
Roosevelt dined to see them.

Child labor was a useful movement for kids because there were a lot of children’s working all day non stop and would not go to school or work. Parents thought that was the way to keep food on the table. People gave children jobs more than adults, because they could keep them there for more money.  Kid were risking there life’s and it is not going on today. It is harder to get a job at a young age.
