African American Segregation

African American Segregation

boycott_against_asiansAfrican Americans have been discriminated and mistreated since the 1800’s. Even now there still is but before there were sit ins, picketing, and even acting nice as a method to solve things. However in December 1 1955, Rosa Parks took a seat and didn’t want to give up her seat for a white person and got arrested. From rebelling like this she created a controversy and boycott against this injustice. This lead to break the law, but actually it wasn’t since in the constitution it stated there is peace among people and equality there’s no person who is greater. Like the Emmet Till incident, he just whistled at a girl and some white people took it offensive. They threw Emmet out and started to beat him up until he died.

African American Civil Rights Movements(non-violence)

In the 1960’s most African Americans (Blacks) were treated unfairly while entering white public areas (restaurants). When a black group of people or person entered a restaurant they could not sit at a counter where white waitresses were serving or they could not order. But if they did decide to order where that particular white person was serving at that, black person would not get there order because the white people never served African American people who sat at the white people’s counter.

Once on February 2nd 1960 a group of college students entered a white restaurant in
Greensboro, Mississippi. When these group of African American students entered and sat at an all white side of the restaurant they were not served. Then all of a sudden a group of white people came over to them and told them to get out of there seats and move to the black side of the restaurant. The group of African American students did not want to move out of there seats so they just stayed where they were at.  When the group of kids decided to stay in there seats they got abused by the white people. This is a violation on the social injustice in what the white people did to the African Americans. This is a violation social injustice because it stopped African American people from not having the equal rights as white people in public areas (restaurants).

The Asian-American Movement

How do you think that the Asians were treated in the time the Americans thought they were the dominant human?  They were treated like garbage and with disrespect and not treated equally. The immigrants from Asia where involved like the Chinese, and the Japanese and this all takes place in the south side of
America. This was a social, political and economic problem for them. They got the worst jobs and had bad places to live and got poor amount of money.

                      Asian American Movement

How do you think that the Asians were treated when they immigrated to the U.S? Well believe it or not they were treated very harsh and in a very unimaginable way. They were being discriminated against because they were treated with certain unfair and unequal injustices. The Chinese immigrants were treated with economic injustices because they weren’t getting paid well enough for the work that they did. Also because they were charged and forced to pay police taxes between $2.50 and $4.00 to be able to use gold mines and own businesses in
California. They were also treated with social and political injustices. There was a lot of racism going on as well because the white people didn’t have to pay the taxes that the Chinese immigrants had to pay.

The Bus Boycott

Voices and choices of civil rights. The injustice was economical because it affects most of the blacks. It took place in
Montgomery because of the bus boycott.
Rosa parks an old lady who would not give up her seat because she was tired. So she went to jail and she had to wait to get out. This happened on November 19, 1956

The Asian American Movement

Do you think Asian-Americans were treated rudely in the past? Would you think that Asian-Americans would get through this terrible situation causing pain? Well they did overcome this passage of pain they’d suffered and continued on. I’m going to tell you the history of Asian-American immigrants feuding with Caucasian people of the
California state.

From the late 1800’s to the middle 1900’s, Asian-American immigrants had to deal with the fury of the Caucasian people of
California
State
. The Caucasians seemed to be jealous of the Asians because they were getting more jobs than them. I guess the Caucasians were tired of not getting jobs they wanted. So the whites decided to raise taxes for the Asians because of their religion.

Black rights

The African Americans did not have the same rights as the white people. They were discriminated agents. They were separated from the whites and the whites got all of the good things. The blacks did not get the things that the whites have. They had to sit in the back of the bus; they couldn’t sit at the counter in a restaurant. The injustice is social because it is affecting the lives the black race.
