Bye Bye Camps

The picture of Asian Americans leaving the internment camps was very disturbing. The images of people smiling behind bars are surreal. Some peeople looked as if they were trying to jump onto the trains. It is hard to believe things like this actually took place in our country.

Jim Crow made us Boycott

In 1964 many african americans fought not be segregated and discrimated aganist. Blacks and whites were in different schools. As far as some of the parents were concerned thats the way they wanted it. It was hard to be discriminated against and unable to do anything about it. They were discriminated against and they fought hard but not always winning the arguement and not always winning the war. In the end we won and others suffured for our relocation in that point in history. For once we suffrured and lost but now we suffured and won.

Boycott In Front Of An N.Y School

Many schools were segregated in the 1950s and so on. African Americans were discriminated against and treated as if they werent equal to whites.Thats when the Jim Crow Laws came along and African Americans wouldnt stand for it. They protested and made statements in the media for things to change. They suceeded and because of their hard work and decation to change life and these laws, now Im in a intergrated school an so is other kids accross the globe.Today all people of all races are treated equally.

Getting Sprayed

A protester is sprayed with a water hose. That person sprayed them with the water hose because he didn't want to listen and kept protesting and got sprayed with the water hose or that person told him to get up and he was being disrespectful and didn't want to listen and that person sprayed him with the water hose. He did this to fight for his rights

Equal pay

People in this picture are showing how they want to be equal to every one. The it does not matter if your black or white man or woman. This picture has economic rights. If you want equality then you have to work hard for it. Many people have suffured and many have fought to make EQUAL PAY mandatory. Especially for women. Women Suffarge happened long before I was born. When I was born i hoped for rights. many women back then didn't have to right to vote. Voting was male dominated and because of that women felt useless. It became a habits and a group of women joined together and they fought. For

Our Rights

So many people fought for civil rights.  Mother Jones fought for children to go to school, instead of working long hours.  Brown vs. Board of Education fought against "separate but equal,".There are so many things in this world that aren't fair.  What current civil right issue do you want to fight for?  Why is this issue important?

What to do about Genocide ?

Urban Genocide is a common thing in the United States of America.Urban Genocide has been happening since the first Civil Rights Movement. This happened when the KKK first took action and killed many by the hundreds. I feel that Urban Genocide is a problem that has happened for over twenty years for African Americans. Living in the urban area I feel threated and I feel that the population for Afriacn Americans has decreased and is the easiest target.
