Children’s Rights Movement
The Children’s Rights Movement changed the 1920’s drastically. Children were treated very poorly during the Industrial Revolution. Many men and woman did not care how they treated children. Parents cared but they needed the money to survive. Some causes of the Children’s Rights Movement, were some families did not have enough money to feed their families and survive. This caused them to send there children to work in factories. The owners would approach the parents and say your children will be fine and convince the parents to send their children to work in factories and mines. If the parents refused the factory owners would force the parent’s signatures. The Children’s Rights Movement went on in the 1920s. The Children’s Rights Movement was a success. Children stopped working in factories and were not hurt.

The movement of child labor was a very big issue in the 1900’s it was so big that it started movements. Child labor was a very injustice thing because the children really didn’t have a choice. Children worked 16 hours a day and didn’t have enough strength to even go to school in the night time so they didn’t go because they just couldn’t do it. Then a remarkable lady came along named Mother Jones and she helped 16,000 kids get their rights. The march with Mother Jones was a very successful.
The injustice against children was very unbelievable. The children were discriminating against, mistreated, and deprived of their rights. Their parents weren’t any help either. Their parents were so In need of money that they even signed for their child to go work in the factories. It was a very hurtful thing because the parents weren’t realizing that their kids safety were on the line. I think that the idea that the children would be working and bringing home money were all the parents were worried about. They were so miss treated that they didn’t have a choice to say I don’t want to work, if their parents wanted them to work they had to work. It really wasn’t fair.

The children’s rights movement was born in the 1800’s the orphan train. In the big cities, when the child’s parents died, the child had to go to work to support him or herself. Boys generally became factory or coal workers. Girls, became prostitutes or saloon girls, or else went to work in sweat shops. All of these jobs paid only starvation wages. In 1852,
Massachusetts required children to attend school. In 1853, Charles Brace founded the Children’s Aid Society, which worked hard to take the street children in. The following year, the children were placed on a train headed for the West, where they were adopted and often given work. By 1929, the orphan train had stopped running altogether, but its principles lived on.

Children's Rights Movement
The United States was currently experiencing The Industrial Revolution that commenced in 1890 and ended in 1920. There were a multitude of immigrants entering the nation and many immigrants needed jobs and new opportunities just as they were told in their homeland that the U.S. was full of jobs and opportunities. Immigrants did not find so many jobs in the U.S. and so Poverty increased. Families then decided to impel their children to work to support the family. Children worked in treacherous areas such as coal areas, mine areas, factories, and many more rigorous jobs.

The Children’s Rights
Movement
The children’s right’s movement has a great impact on children’s life today. Mother Jones, the newspaper boys & other participants fought for children’s rights. This movement tried to prevent child labor. Child labor is when children had to work for low wages. In the 1800’s children were needed to work because most immigrants were poor & needed all the money they could get.

Child labor started many years back. It first started in the north during the Industrial Revolution. Factories wanted people who would work for less money but more hours. During this time many people need money to support there family. And people thought that since kids were causing trouble in the street their parents would take them out of school and make them work. They would work from very young ages for low pay and more hours. Some kids would end up working more hours then adult. Many kids would not get any sleep at all causes they would be trying to help there family pay their bills.

The children’s Rights movement tried to get children’s rights because the children were getting taken advantage of. They had to work in horrible conditions that were not safe. This movement existed during the Industrial Revolution from 1870’s to 1900’s. One of the people involved in the movement was Mother Jones. She helped thousand of children during the movement. I think that the movement was successful because they were determined. They were determined to stop factory owners from treating children the way they did.

The Children’s Rights Movement
The movement I want to discuss is the Children’s Right Movement. The cause of this movement was because children in the 1800 were treated unfairly. Like for example children had to work in factories and not get paid for their work. Also there were people who tried to help these children. Like for example mother Jones, Lewis Hines and Jacob Rills as well.

The Children’s Rights Movement was one of the most important movements in
America. It was also one of the saddest movements in
America. Children were hurt while working in the factories. Mary Jones was an important person during the movement .I belive the people who allowed child labor in
America should have been sent to prison.

Back n the late 19th century, people made children work. They made them work under terrible conditions. Children formed the Children’s Rights Movement, with the help of adults. The kids weren’t aloud to go to school. They didn’t get paid like men did. They also worked at a very young age. These kids were mistreated.
They started the Children’s Rights Movement, because they didn’t want to be mistreated anymore. The children wanted education, and wanted rights. The people involved in it were Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Carry Nation, and Alice Paul.

A Fight for Children Rights
Children were mistreated and discriminated against in the late 19th century to the early 20th century. The children rights movement was a very crucial time period. Children really didn’t have any rights. They didn’t go to school, they had to work ridiculous hours, and also they were very poor. People like Mother Jones, Lewis Hine and Jacob Riis, tried to help children in this movement was so successful because people really didn’t see what was happen but these people help them open their eyes.

The children’s rights movement tried to give children better treatment. The children rights movement existed in the late 1800s. Lewis Hine, Jacob Riis, and Mother Jones played a very important role in the Children’s Rights Act. The Children’s movement was successful because children are our future, and I guess they realized that.

Children’s Rights Movement
The Children’s Rights Movement took place in the 1860’s through the 1900’s. Mother Jones led the children through the march. There were 200 children at the march. The march was named the “Children’s Crusade” from Philadelphia all the way to
New York. They had banners that stated “We want to go to school!” Mother Jones wanted President Theodore Roosevelt to meet the children. But he didn’t. Some of the children there were ill or injured. They were injured because they were working with dangerous machines. Some children were missing fingers because of this. Mother Jones helped 100,000 strikers in the Kensington Mills.

African Americans Civil Rights Movement

African Americans were mistreated and discriminated against in the 1960’s.They all came a long way thanks to the leaders of Rosa Parks, Martin Luther king Jr., W.E.B Du Bois, Malcolm X., Thurgood Marshall, Shirley Chislm and many more. One of the causes of the movement was to help African Americans gain the voice and genuine respect in the American society. Once the movement was successful both African Americans and Whites were treated equal, there were integrated schools, public faculties and buses.

Children’s Rights Case Study
The Children’s Rights Movement was one of many of our important movements.
New York passed a law in 1886. The Factory Act. This act was supposed to band children under the age of 13 from working. Many people were upset because during this time you needed all the money you could get to survive. The act was not token seriously because
New York only hired two inspectors for the whole state. The reason for the movement was that journalists took pictures of the working children in factories and many other places. Some children were even working barefoot. Their families could not afford shoes. This was a tough time.
