Where do children fit in to the Civil rights of today? How are the children being treated today in schools across the United States? I belong to a public school in New York City and I have been to other public schools in the United States. Such as, Indiana and New Jersey. There are different classes in which are available to the children. I think that is unfair to some of the students who belong to schools that are unfit for a proper classroom. Many schools in the "City" do not have the same environment that schools have in Indiana. The school walls are chipped, the blackboards are dirty with words carved into it, doors do not close right, teachers give up on certain students. I haven't been to a school like this but I know that they exist. A student belonging to a school where the money is not a problem, these students recieve much more oppurtunites that children who go to schools who are in a finance problem. Sometimes, other schools do not have a Computer class and there are some schools that do not have a band. Back then many children were not as fortunate as the children these days. In the 1800's to the 1900's, children in those days were not put into school but were put to work. These children did not learn to write, read, and basic math. These children fought for the right to have education and many of the children today still have not been fully exceeded. There are many changes we still need to change in the educational world.

Children's rights have been denied in the past and in the present. Currently, children's rights such as education rights are being denied. These rights may seem such a minuscule subject to others but to children they can be very important. Educational rights such as when children who want to learn are being disturbed by those who do not wish to be educated. This is a serious matter because those who wish and deserve to learn are being ignored and their valuable time is being lost into a room of dark without light to support. There should be multiple changes in the educational field for children. Changes such as placing all the children that are ruining other's education in a class and the outstanding students who can't work under the conditions of such behavior in another class should occur. The children who are awfully behaving in a class should be taught by a torturing teacher who accepts no tolerance. In this way, the students will most likely be afraid of the teacher and act as a normal and a brilliant student. In other cases, the already outstanding students will receive a higher level of education. Therefore, in this way, everyone will receive a standard amount of education needed. In conclusion, students' educations were being prohibited. They were prohibited because they were thought of nonsense.

Does the place you live in have clean air? Most likely it doesn't even if you think it has clean air. Everywhere you go you might think the air is clean, but it isnt because of all the pollution. Most people dont think all the pollution will do anything over time. It is causing global warming and a lot of other bad things.Everyday people uses thing that cause more pollution like cars, but some cars help us like the hybrids. Hybrids use a lot less gas than a normal cars because it mostly uses electricity. There are many more ways to get electricity besides from burning coal. For example, there are windmills, solar panels, and other things to generate electricity. If everyone would use solar panels in sunny areas and windmills for windy areas, we probably wont need to burn coal anymore.

Students, are one of the largest groups in America today, and constantly growing. It is a requirement in the United States that all minors under the age of 16 attend school. However, in the schools, their rights as citizens are often violated. Instead of following their basic individual rights, students' rights as citizens are ignored by the administrators of the schools. Why does this happen? In order for the next generation to become productive citizens they must learn how to use their rights effectively. While some rights in today’s society are not appropriate in the school building, Rights such as free speech, freedom from unwarranted search and seizure, and the freedom of religion. Why do schools get away with these clear violations of the Bill of Rights? Schools justify the violations with the claim that they’re only students and a, who are not ready for the responsibility, that they need protection from the dangers of the world. We students are our future, and should be taught how to insure the future of America, through their rights.

Children have been denied basic rights for over hundreds of years. Especially today. Children should not have brusied up bodies when going to school. There are many children out there who are faced with all different types of abuse. There's verbal abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse. Most known today would be physical abuse.
An event that took place not that long ago would be the case of Nixmarie Brown. Seven year old Nixmarie Brown was failed by the Child protection Services of new York City. There were many reports/complaints made by teachers, school officials, neighbors and family members, but nothing was done to prevent the devistating death of young, beautiful Nixmarie Brown. She was beaten, abused, tortured and starved by her mother and step father. This all continued untill her death in her apartment bathtub.

Racial profiling is going on throughout
America. Most people believe that racial profiling is only when a police officer singles out a person because of their race. The truth is, that is only a piece of this major conspiracy. Why is it a conspiracy? It is a conspiracy because in some states the head of the precinct might tell the officers to look out for a certain race (in a bad way) more than the other races. This also happens in grocery stores, at work, and even at school. This
America, is simply plain out WRONG!

Dorothea Dix helped the mentally disabled in many ways. Dorothea proceeded to visit jails and almshouses, where the mentally ill were housed, in other parts of Boston and soon her investigations extended over the entire state of
Massachusetts. Dorothea's views about the treatment of the mentally ill were extreme at the time. The popular belief was that the insane would never be cured and living within their awful conditions was enough for them. However Dorothea, just by bettering the conditions of the mentally disabled, showed people that mental illness wasn't all incurable.

Many people are discriminated against color, race, or because you are mentally disabled. Some feel they need to treat the handicap differently then others just because they are not normal. The only difference between "normal" people and the handicap is that they don’t have the privilege to become independent as others. About one to three percent of the population is handicapped. Most handicapped people cannot speak proper English. One of the causes found that causes the handicapped to become mentally disabled is toxins and genetic disorders to trauma.

All throughout the
United States' history, children's educational rights were hurt. In the 1800's many children didn't get educated due to the fact that they had to work in order to live. These children and adults who supported their cause fought for their rights. Thanks to them, today all children can get education.
Still, many schools are much better than others and some schools can’t provide a very good education. For one thing, some schools are better supported by the government than others. Using their money, the school can buy better supplies and other tools important for a good education while the other schools, which don’t get as much money, can’t afford it. Another important difference between some schools is that other schools don’t have classes that are important for some students to develop their talents. When a student in high school doesn’t have the opportunity to take a class that they want, they aren’t given the opportunity to try all of the possible choices for a job in the future. Therefore, some jobs may be closed to them. However, all children have the right to a good education and that shouldn’t depend on the school they have to go to.

Schools are concerned about their students security. The police guards from school search students everyday in order to know whether they have dangerous weapons or drugs. This process can take a long time for every morning of the school days. Some people believe that this kind of searches aren't necessary. students need to have some privay. People can't just come and look at your privet things. The education department still dosent agree if to make this issue be in every school of the state or citiy. I think that only up to serten grades, they can search their things.

In 1870-1938 Children were declined rights. They were forced to worked in factorys at a young age with bad working conditions. Children suffered a lot. Children had to deal with these problems till 1938 when the Fair Labor Standards Act was made. The Fair Labor Standard Act mad maximum hours and minimum wage for workers. Also it gave children the minmum working age. Today Children are suffering from Educational rights. At some schools they are being tested for drugs. Being tested for drugs is a violation privacy rights. Also some teachers are letting children grade test which means that some children are getting humiliated from students who grade there test. Also Some schools are getting more money from the goverment for supplys then others. There are many thinks that us students still need to fight for to have a better and equal education. Today, thousands of children are very fortunate enough to be educated. They are able to study and learn about various topics regarding things about the world, scientific knowledge and more. It is a requirement in the United States that all minors under the age of 16 attend school. Just like these children, we feel very lucky for having new laws that give all children equal access to schools. Even though children’s civil rights are better protected today, we believe that inequality still exists among schools across the nation.
